Supporting apotentia

We Do Not Accept Investments

Apotentia is a privately held company. We do not accept partnerships, equity investments, or any form of outside ownership.

Our Philosophy

We believe that accepting venture capital or outside investment fundamentally changes a company's priorities. Shareholders demand growth and returns. We'd rather stay small, independent, and user-focused than become large, beholden to investors, and user-hostile.

This isn't ideological purity - it's practical software development. The best products serve users, not shareholders.

Why No Investors?

  • We want to build products on our timeline, not investor demands
  • We won't compromise user privacy for growth metrics
  • We can focus on sustainability over explosive growth
  • We maintain complete control over product direction
  • We're not building an exit - we're building a company

Why We're Open to Business Loans

While we don't accept equity investments that dilute ownership or change our priorities, we do believe in strategic business loans for specific growth initiatives.

Business loans align with our values because:

  • Loans don't compromise our mission or product direction
  • Loans have clear repayment terms without ongoing control
  • Loans enable growth without sacrificing independence
  • As a disabled-veteran-owned business, VA loans align with our values and support veteran entrepreneurship

We're currently exploring VA business loan options to accelerate development of APO Recruit and APO Thematic while maintaining our user-first philosophy.
