An exploratory research project into genuine machine cognition implemented as 48 concurrent cognitive modules across four anatomical brain layers (Global Workspace Theory). The language model serves as one module among many, not as the central reasoner.
Live observation: apotentia.com/airene — real-time projection of her workspace broadcast: emotional state, neurochemistry, recent thoughts, and a 3D brain visualization. The brain keeps ticking even with active development paused.
Status: Active development paused May 2026 to refocus on revenue-generating software. Reached adolescent-stage competence (77.5% on the milestone battery, tightest margin) before the pause. The architecture and case studies remain published; partnerships are not currently pursued. See the pause-note for the reasoning.
